Make no mistake – the Development Application from the developer has been re-lodged and if approved, the impact and scale would be enormous!

Below is a picture illustrating the actual proposed build sites in the DA for the 243 Retirement units and 120 bed Aged Care which will be a 24 hour facility. This will immediately change the feel, character, layout, stormwater, infrastructure, traffic and amenity of North Lakes forever.

In addition to the massive retirement village and nursing home facility that is proposed, the developer has also applied for additional uses on the open-space. The below pictures show the locations in the DA they are applying to rezone to shops – examples of which can be: fast food, take away, sale of alcohol and milk bar. We do not have any details on the car parking requirements or where the entry driveway access would be.

Your say will be very important, Once objections have opened we will mobilise and inform everyone how to submit a properly made objection to Council.
